Buying tickets for Russian Railways from abroad simplifies

Russian and French Railways are going to conclude an agreement about realization railway tickets for Russia on the EU territory through Hermes system, and contrarily, European railway tickets in some booking offices of Russian railways.

An agreement will be signed in Nice on the September, 25, 2010.

Train tickets for Russia will be realized through Hermes system with support of the French booking system ResaRail. Hermes has about 15, 000 points of sale all over Europe, and from there the tickets for Russian domestic services and for international trains, following to Russia as well.

The tickets for domestic EU services will be available in Russia as well in booking offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Earlier such tickets in Russia could be bought on the sites of European carriers.
