Russian Railways is launching international Moscow – Nice route September 23

On September 23 2010, a train of the Federal Passenger Company formation will begin to run regularly on the Moscow – Nice route.

The No. 17/18 Moscow – Nice train will begin running once a week. It will leave Moscow (Belorusky Station) on Thursdays at 16:17 and arrive in Nice on Saturdays at 19:12. The train will leave Nice on Sundays at 19:22 and arrive in Moscow on Tuesdays at 23:17.

The train’s route is Moscow – Vyazma – Smolensk – Orsha – Minsk-Brest – Terespol – Warsaw – Katowitz – Zebzhidowitz – Bogumin – Vienna – Lintz – Innsbruck – Bolzano – Milan – Genoa – San Remo – Bordighera – Menton – Nice.

First and second-class Luxury carriages will be included in the train’s rolling stock. An adult ticket will be between 306 euros (second class) and 1,050 euros (luxury business class). There will be reductions on children’s tickets (between 171 and 595 euros) and for those over 60 (between 225 and 777 euros). Group bookings, likewise, are cheaper than standard, between 252 and 868 euros per person in a group of six adults or more.

Dogs and other small house pets and birds will be allowed on all carriages on the Moscow – Nice train given purchase of all places in a compartment at no additional charge.
