New Sapsan train services on Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod-Moscow route

From September 6, 2010 Russian Railways is introducing new Sapsan train services on the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod-Moscow route to provide morning passenger transport from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod and increase service level quality.Sapsan trains will run:
- ¹ 167 Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) – Moscow-Kurskaya; departure time: 06:45, arrival time 10:40. The train will stop at Vladimir (08:31-08:33).
- ¹ 168 Moscow-Kurskaya – Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky); departure time: 06:45, arrival time: 10:40. The train will stop at Vladimir (08:50-08:52).
Travel time will be 3 hours 55 minutes.
Fare prices on trains No. 167/168 are the same as that of Sapsan No. 161/163 on the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod section of the service between St. Petersburg-Moscow-Nizhny Novogorod.
A high-speed service on the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod route was opened July 30, 2010. At the present time, the Sapsan train makes one journey each way every day on the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod route,.
- ¹ 161/162 St Petersburg – Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) will run daily. Departure time: 15:00, arrival time in Nizhny Novgorod: 23:25 (stopping in Moscow at 19:20).
- ¹ 163/164 Nizhny Novgorod – Moscow – St Petersburg will run daily. Departure time: 15:05, arrival time in St Petersburg: 23:24 (stopping in Moscow at 19:00).
