Russia’s major truck-maker, KAMAZ, resumes its work on Tuesday after the corporate holidays

Workers were off from August 2, while all maintenance and sales services continued their work.Back in 2009, the plant’s management announced August as a traditional corporate holiday period the plant, like it is done in car-making industry around the globe.
KAMAZ’ Marketing and Sales Director Ashot Arutyunyan forecasts a pre-crisis level of sales, where “trucks were sold out off the production line.” The demand may be above the offer, he added.
Over the first seven months of the current year, KAMAZ doubled production to 17,604 trucks, Prime-Tass reports. The plant sold 15,300 trucks in the domestic market.
