Moscow interested in gas transporting projects in Armenia

Russia is interested in entering into agreements with third parties on the implementation of projects related to the gas transporting infrastructure in Armenia, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced at a press conference after talks with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsian.

He indicated that Russia was also interested in projects on the development of Armenia's transportation, which was crucial for the country. The Russian leader noted that a number of suggestions on the creation of production facilities in Armenia had already been made.

According to Medvedev, Russia views Armenia as a strategic partner and invests heavily in it. With that in mind, Moscow is ready to take steps to participate in projects aimed at the development of the country's economy.
