Raising rates in the price list of the Central Directorate for Wagon Repairs is under consideration

"We are considering the question of raising rates in the price list for wagon repair works," said Nikolay Bochkarev, Head of the RZD Central Directorate for Freight Wagon Repairs (TSDRV), to RZD-Partner.RuIn 2008, TSDRV proposed a single price rates for all customers, based on actual work done. Prices have not been changed after the coordinated approach to TSDRV’s price formation was approved by owners. Moreover, due to the economic crisis, prices for routine maintenance were reduced by 10% on March 16th, 2009.
"At the same time, the crisis inflationary changes in prices for goods and services, fuel and energy affect the financial state of the directorate," said N. Bochkarev.
According to the Federal Statistics Service, total index of the sector manufacturers’ prices in 2009 amounted to 13.9%. Prices grew by 19.2% in March 2010, compared to the same month of 2009. In 2009 and 2010 electricity tariffs and other types of energy were increased by 29.5%. In addition, selling prices for spare parts of rolling stock are currently under consideration to be increased.
"As energy tariffs and prices for metal products are growing, we are forced to seek support from consumers for repair of freight cars. We are considering the question of raising rates in the price list for works during routine types of freight cars repair," N. Bochkarev concluded.
