Federal Customs Service will work within the “one office” principle

The government has reviewed the draft law prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Customs Service.This refers to the federal law “On the accession of the Russian Federation to the International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures dated 18th of May 1973 as amended by Protocol on alteration of the International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures dated 26th of June 1999.” The Convention binds the parties to apply simplified custom formalities, corresponding international standards and the procedure of appeal and inactivity of the customs service.
Special attention is paid to using IT technologies to the maximum extent possible. After the accession of the Russian Federation to the International Convention on Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures Russian customs service will start working within the “one office” principle.
