Krasnoye Sormovo gets $88m contract with Volga Flot

Nizhny Novgorod ship building plant Krasnoye Sormovo is to supply five oil tankers to shipping company Volga Flot, Kommersant reports.

The contract price has yet to be disclosed, but is estimated by experts at $74-$88m.

Under the contract, Krasnoye Sormovo is to supply five 19614-tankers in 2011.

19614-tankers belong to river-sea class and are used to transport oil and oil products.
