Russia and Ukraine must restore economic ties, up to setting up integrated agencies in aircraft construction, atomic energy and shipbuilding, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told a session of the government presidium on Monday.

“A lot unites our enterprises, as for decades they used to operate in one production chain, and these ties must be restored up to our setting up integrated agencies,” the prime minister said.

He reminded the session that the two countries have created a major portfolio of joint projects “literally within the past few months”. This first of all includes “those branches where cooperation will bring sizable competitive advantages, in particular, this is aircraft construction, shipbuilding, atomic energy and transport,” he said.
