Vladimir Putin urges Fishery Agency to install GLONASS system

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin instructed the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) to prepare and submit proposals for installation of GLONASS, a system of satellite monitoring of fishing vessels, speaking at a meeting on "The development of coastal infrastructure for receiving, processing, storage and transportation of fish products”, held on April 17th, in Murmansk, Russian Govt. press service reports.Mr. Puting said another 3 satellites to be launched by the end of 2010 to facilitate the system operation.
Andrew Krainiy said the "GLONASS still has gaps, and we can not track, for a few hours the boats", so the agency is looking for the system to start working. Mr. Putin responded, “do not wait”, suggesting that the RosRybolovstvo officials submitted their proposals over GLONASS on fishing vessels.
