Investement plans to build a railroad between East Siberian rail network and Nothern railways

$685m is reportedly to be allocated from the RF Investment Fund, and $1.215bn is to be raised from private investors for the 354.6-kilometer railroad to connect East Siberian rail network with Nothern railways.

Corporation Ural Promyshlenny – Ural Polyarny (Industrial Urals – Polar Urals) has announced plans to build a $1.9bn railroad from Salekhard to Nadym, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.

Of the total funding, $685m is reportedly to be allocated from the RF Investment Fund, and $1.215bn is to be raised from private investors.

Under plans, the 354.6-kilometer railroad is to connect East Siberian rail network with Nothern railways.

Construction is scheduled to start in March 2010, further timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
