RZD-Partner Editorial Board: Cargo Owner is a Priority

RZD-Partner Editorial Board meeting took place in Moscow under the chairmanship of Vadim Morozov, First Vice President of OAO RZD.

The course taken by the magazine has been generally approved, which is to reflect the balance between the State interests and the goals of transport business and its customers, as well as ensuring that the magazine pages are given to all transport sectors.

Mr Morozov emphasized that the main theme about normalization of transport work was decisive in the difficult crisis conditions. Despite the decline in the revenue, the magazine has overcome the financial and economic crisis successfully.

Board members drew attention to the fact that the magazine should be given more attention to cargo owners, because their position is particularly important in implementing the structural railway reform and further improvements in the transport market model. It is proposed to publish more regular interviews with business leaders, shippers, as well as thematic reviews on industry issues and proposals on this topic.

Alexander Retyunin, Editor-in-Chief of RZD-Partner, emphasised that the last year’s annual survey showed the grown interest of the audience to the theme about the reform. "We shall follow the Board’s guidelines, and the heading "Cargo Owner" will become our priority," he concluded. Also, the Editorial Board noted that, in order to maintain a single transport information space, special supplements can be started, devoted to the activities of RZD’s subsidiaries.

Mr Retyunin thanked the members of the Editorial Board for their active informational support. In their turn, they expressed readiness to continue participation in the preparation of materials in future.
