Ukraine: Ukrzaliznytsia carried 1.132 million tons of grain cargoes in January

In January 2010, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 1.132 million tons of grain, which is 100.7% of the estimation. The majority of the grain cargo was carried by Southern Railways – 391,500 tons.

The second came Odesa Railways with 237,300 tons. Transdnieper Railways transported 98,400 tons, Southwestern Railways 293 tons, Donetsk Railways 77 tons and Lviv Railways 32.2 tons. Carried were mostly: wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed and sunflower.

In 2009, a total of 18.992 million tons of grain were transported by Ukrainian Railways. The biggest share in this amount had Southern Railways with 6,102,000 tons.
