Russian flights apply for shuttle flights' subsidies

Russian transport agency has received subsidy applications from airlines making shuttle flights between European Russia and the Russian Far East."The Federal Air Transport Agency has informed Russian airlines about the beginning issue of subsidizes for passenger transportation at discount rates. The applicants must indicate the routes and the type of aircraft to make regular flights," an official source said.
The federal government assigned 2.5 billion rubles for the subsidizing program this year.
Ticket discounts may reach 50 per cent, the source said.
For instance, a passenger traveling from Vladivostok to Moscow or vise versa can pay 7,700 rubles. The ticket price will be the same on the Moscow -Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky route. It will take no more than 9,100 rubles to travel from St-Petersburg to Magadan, and 8,000 to reach Khabarovsk or Vladivostok.
