Ashgabat - St Petersburg. Direct Regular Air Service Launched; Projects Developed

A regular air flight service between Ashgabat and St Petersburg was launched in the course of the Turkmen President's visit to the Russian Federation.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matviyenko attended the official ceremony.

Turkmen president attended presentation of projects developed by St Petersburg companies Yarovit, Silovyye Machiny, Vozrozhdeniye, Kirov Plant, Zvezda and other companies and met with their heads. Among the projects presented there were a modern pier with bridges, bypasses and conjunctions for 6 streets in the Turkmen capital,

Container carriers set reliability record in 2011

Container service reliability reached a new high in the final quarter of 2011 with an on-time average of 69% across all the trades covered by Drewry's Schedule Reliability Insight report, just published. The latest result was up by 6 percentage points over the previous quarter, meaning that schedule reliability has improved for three consecutive quarters, a feat only equalled once before between 4Q08 and 2Q09.
