Poland: PLN 34 Billion for Transport Infrastructure in 2009

10.10.2008 (18:01)

The budget offers PLN 34 billion for development of domestic roads and railway lines.

However, experts doubt this money will be spent.

In a project of the Budget Act PLN 14.3 billion were assigned to road and railway infrastructure. But if we add to it EU funds and national reserves, the amount would be PLN 34 billion.

The most of it, approx. 97%, will go to the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The only problem is, that many investments are not yet prepared, so there is rather no chance, that they would be realized, Railway Market-CEE Review reports.
