Transmashholding and French company Alstom established JV to manufacture double-deck coaches, Andrey Andreev, General Director of Transmashholding reported.

“Join Venture was established. The documents were signed on October 4-5, they are registered now”, A. Andreev said according to Interfax.

According to him, request on the tender on supply of double-deck coaches for OAO RZD should be put untill September 20. OAO RZD plans to sign contract with tender winner till the end of 2008.

The joint venture is established to participate in tender to supply 1.21 thousand double-deck coaches. OAO RZD will hold tender in October. The Russian company will hold a 51% stake in the project TNH-Alstom DVand Alstom the remaining 49%.
