Big Box Terminal on Sino-Russo-Mongol Border at Manzhouli

The Zabaikalsk branch of Russian Railways (OAORZD) has commissioned a new container terminal with the throughput capacity of more than one million tonnes annually at Zabaikalsk on the China border at the eastern tip of Mongolia.

The RUB1.5 billion (US$57.7 million) container terminal, the biggest on the border and coupled with expanding facilities on the Chinese side at Manzhouli, will be able to handle and can handle four trains of 71 cars, reports Russian Transport Daily Report.
