Route from Vilnius Train Station to the Airport Is Launched

A new train route run by Lithuanian Railways from the Vilnius train station to the airport was opened on Thursday.

Every forty minutes the route will be travelled by single-car trains that can carry nearly two hundred passengers at a time, The Baltic Course reports.

According to data presented by the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, over January-November 2008, 2.4 million passengers arrived and departed from the Lithuanian airports, an increase of 18.2% year-on-year.
