Bulgaria: BGN 60m of the Budget Surplus to Be Spent on New Trains

About BGN 60 million of the budget surplus will go for improvement of Bulgarian railway transport, Petar Mutafchiev, Minister of Transport, said.BGN 30 million are to be spent on current repairs and completion of some capital repairs of railway infrastructure; other BGN 30 million will finance repairs of engines and trains. The money in question will be remitted to the railway companies; the Ministry of Transport will not receive any money of the surplus because it doesn’t have any current needs, the minister said according to Railway Market-CEE Review.
