Sheremetyevo Airport Sees 86% Rise in Q1 Net Income

Sheremetyevo International Airport has registered a 86 per cent increase in first half 2008 net profit to total RUB607 million (US$24.57 million).

Revenues amounted to RUB3.270 billion during the reporting period, an increase of 14 per cent over the same period a year ago.

The percentage of total revenue from non-aviation activities grew from 30 per cent to 34 per cent within one year.

In a related development, Sheremetyevo International Airport has appointed a new chairman to its Board of Directors, namely the RF Minister of Transport, Igor Levitin.
