Gazprom Neft, KazMunayGas Sign Cooperation Accord

Gazprom Neft and the Kazakh state-owned company KazMunayGas plan to sign a general cooperation agreement in the oil and gas industry, the Russian oil company's President Alexander Dyukov told journalists in the Kazakh capital Astana following a meeting with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

Dyukov explained that the agreement provided for the two companies' possible joint participation in mining, oil refining, and sales projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Europe. This is a framework agreement, and the parties will be able to amend it for specific projects to fit in with the document, Dyukov said according to RIA Novosti.
