Oil Extraction Down 0.6%, Gas Output Up 3.1% in Russia from January to August

Russia extracted 325.154 million tonnes of oil with gas condensate in January to August 2008, down 0.6% year-on-year, the Fuel and Energy Complex Central Dispatch Department has reported according to Interfax.

Natural gas extraction grew 3.1% in the first eight months of 2008, year-on-year, reaching 443.869 billion cubic meters.
