Kazakhstani-Russian Joint Consultations Concerning Simplification of the Customs Control

During the period from August, 25 till August, 27th of the current year in Federal customs services of the Russian Federation in Moscow has taken place the Russian-Kazakhstani joint consultations concerning simplification of the customs control on the Russian-Kazakhstani border.

Delegations of Federal Customs service and Frontier service of Federal Agency of safety of the Russian Federation, Committee of the customs control of the Ministry of Finance and Frontier service of Committee of National Safety of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Open Society Russian Railways and also joint-stock company National company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy have taken part in the meeting.

The Kazakhstani delegation headed Askar Mamin - the President of the joint-stock company National company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and also Kozykorpesh Karbuzov - the Chairman of Committee of the customs control of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the Consultation problem questions of freight traffic through the Russian-Kazakhstani border by rail and the project of the Memorandum of mutual cooperation have been considered.

As the result the decision on necessity of informing each other about current changes of the normative and legal base regulating freight registration freight and passenger traffic in the international message has been taken.

Participants had been considered questions on simplification of customs registration of freight not intended for commercial aims and moved by physical persons through border and also questions of customs registration of import/export of the supplies entered by the Russian side since September, 1st, 2008.

Both sides have been entrusted to take measures on maintenance of observance of the train schedule, exception of cases of overpopulation of cars and transportation of luggage not meeting permitted standards aimed at reduction of time of the customs control.

Besides, the project of the Memorandum of mutual cooperation in which, in particular, observance of technological specifications of time of examination of freight and passenger trains by customs and boundary bodies is considered, the arrangement on its preparations for signing is also reached.

Also on August, 27 th of the current year meeting of Askar Mamin - the President of joint-stock company National company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy with A. Andreyev - the General director of joint-stock company " Transmashholding” devoted to delivery of passenger cars has taken place in Moscow.

Questions on the possible organisation of passenger car and locomotive service centres are discussed.

The arrangement on preparation and statement of the joint program on updating of a rolling stock of joint-stock company National company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is reached, company's press-service reports.
