Poland: Feasibility study of Metropolitan Railway

Five companies submitted an offer in a tender for feasibility study of Trójmiasto Metropolitan Railway. Contracting party - marshal office of Pomorskie region - assigned 2,6 m PLN (780,000 EUR) to this project.

In the tender participate: Egis Poland sp. z o.o., IVV GMBH, Mott McDonald, Zespół Doradców Gospodarczych TOR and DB International GMBH.

All the companies offered finishing the study in 10 months, according to the order's conditions. The feasibility study concerns the first part of Metropolitan Railway's construction, linking Rębiechowo airport with Gdańsk and Gdynia city center.

'It is possible, that we will finish the railway line to Rębiechowo before UEFA Euro 2012' - says Paweł Wróblewski, coordinator of construction of Metropolitan Railway in the marshal office, Railway Market - CEE Review reports.
