Deutsche Bahn wants to acquire stake in Italian NTV

German state-owned railway Deutsche Bahn AG is in talks with Italy's newly founded private train company NTV regarding the possibility of taking a stake in the firm, Die Welt newspaper said, according to Hemscott.NTV chief executive Giuseppe Sciarrone told the newspaper that his company is ready to sell a minority stake to an industrial partner.
Citing sources, it said NTV is also in talks with France's SNCF.
The newspaper said NTV's owners include Fiat and Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo.
'Montezemolo and his partner certainly has sufficient capital for this big project. But they do not have the know-how for this industry, and we have that, - a Deutsche Bahn manager told the newspaper', Railway Market - CEE Review reports.
