Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port Plans to Handle 5 Mln t of Cargo in 2008

In 2008, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port plans to handle 5 million tonnes of cargo.

As of July 31, the port handled 3 mln t of cargo, PortNews reports.

Due to a peak of construction works in the region, the port every day handles 3 vessels with crushed stone. Coke, crushed stone and metal are the leaders with a multiple increase.

In 2004, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled the record-breaking 4.850.2 million tonnes of cargo.
