Edy Group Establishes a Company in Poland

31.07.2008 (12:48)

Edy group, one of the top three local transport companies, has established a company in Poland, the first outside of Romania.

The company wants to enter the rail market, Railway Market-CEE Review reports.

Officials did not say what activity objective has been set for the new company, says the daily Business Standard, although previously it announced its intention to expand regionally, and becoming involved in new types of transport, such as river and railway.

The companies in Edy group are engaged in several types of activities, including transport (1,200 trucks), storage, fuel distribution (15 gas stations in Romania and partner networks outside the country), and truck servicing in Timisoara and Deva (part of the Volvo Action Service Network).

Edy group started its activity in 1991, with the establishment of Alin Trans Impex, followed in the 1996-97 period by the creation of Edy International Spedition, which entered the international transport segment, and reoriented its activities to logistics in 2006.Edy group establishes a company in Poland
