IATA Identifies 11 New E-freight Locations

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has identified eleven new locations as ready for e-freight, reports the British International Freight Association (BIFA) according to eyefortransport.com.

E-Freight has been operational in six locations since 2007: Canada, Sweden, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Netherlands. Another three - Germany, Mauritius and South Korea - have launched projects to go live during 2008.

The eleven new locations are: the US, Dubai, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark and Norway.

Five of these eleven new locations will be selected to launch e-freight in 2008, with the rest targeted for launch in 2009.
