Polish High-speed Lines to Become a Part of TEN-T?

More than a dozen of Polish road and rail line sections may become a part of the The Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).Currently TEN-T contains 10 rail and 12 road sections in Poland.
On July 2nd the infrastructure ministry will begin debating the possible amendments in the list of Polish sections of TEN-T.
The amended list may include TEN-T the high speed line Warsaw - Lodz - Poznan and Wroclaw as well as the line Krakow - Podłęże - Piekiełko - Nowy Sącz - Muszyna - slovak border.
Poland also wants to include two new airports in the to the list: Lodz and Bydgoszcz.
The ministry lists also several roads and inland waterways and ports.
After internal debate and receiving the governmental approval the Polish proposals will be sent to the European Commission. This migh be done by the end of the current year.
TEN-T projects may apply for the EU financial support, up to 85%.
The list will be also consulted with the public opinion, Railway Market-CEE Review reports.
