Tallinn Airport’s Cargo Carriage up 200% in a Year

Tallinn Airport announced today than when compared to the previous year, the carriage of goods has increased by more than 200 pct, the carriage of passengers and mail have also been increasing, Baltic Business News reports.When comparing the results of January of 2007 to those of 2008, the Airport noted that during this year’s January the carriage of goods had increased by 200.2 pct. When the period from January to June in 2007 and 2008 was compared, it turned out that the carriage of goods had increased by 233.7 pct that is from 6248 tons to 20,227 tons.
During the observation period of January to June, the carriage of passengers grew by 12 pct when compared to the previous year and more than 900 000 customers used the airport’s services, the airport announced.
The carriage of mail also increased from 409 tons to 471 tons in the period of January to June when the years 2008 and 2007 were compared. The growth was 15.2 pct.
This year’s flight operations from January to June increased by 19.1 pct when compared to the same period of the previous year.
