AirBaltic Carried 24% more Passengers in May

The Latvian airline airBaltic carried 220,802 passengers in May 2008, or 24% more than in the same month in 2007, when airBaltic transported 178,777 passengers.During the first five months of 2008, airBaltic transported a total of 868,922 passengers, or 30 pct more than during the same period in 2007, when the total number of passengers was 668,335.
In May, airBaltic operated 4,139 flights, or 24 pct more than the 3,342 flight of May 2007. Between January and the end of May, the airline increased its number of flights by 34 pct over the same period in 2007 - up to 17,685 flights in all, Baltic Business News reports.
