'K' Line Begins Using the Aqaba Container Terminal

26.05.2008 (12:43)

Japanese shipping giant "K" Line has started making port of calls at the Ababa Container Terminal (ACT), with the arrival of the Durban Bridge.

"To have a leading Japanese shipping line start direct calling ACT further enhances our leading position and highlights that the terminal is becoming the number one choice in the region for many global shipping companies," said ACT chief executive Jerry Rick cord.

Mr Rick cord said this step reflects the professional level of services provided by the Kingdom's sole container terminal that offers international shipping services.

To mark the occasion, the master of the vessel, captain Lu LAN Kiang, was presented with a commemorative plaque to honour the port of call, reports Hong Kong Shipping Gazette.
