High-speed Line St. Petersburg-Helsinki to Increase Passenger Traffic

When high-speed railway line between Saint Petersburg and Helsinki is put into operation passenger traffic between the cities will increase threefold, considers Henri Kuitunen, president of VR Ltd (Finnish Railways).

Nowadays annual quantity of passengers using services of railway companies is 400 thousand people.

“I traveled to Russia in my car many times and spent 3 hours to cross the border. It takes a train only half hour to change locomotive and comply all necessary formalities”, said H. Kuitunen.
