MMK to Announce Q1 Results under US GAAP

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) will publish its financial results under US GAAP for the first quarter of 2008 on May 20.

As reported earlier, the Russian steel producer's net profit rose 24.2 percent to $1.772bn in 2007 from $1.426m a year earlier, while revenue increased 27.6 percent to $8.197bn, operating profit grew 17.8 percent to $2.079bn, and pre-tax profit climbed 21 percent to $2.293bn, RBC reports.
