Bulgaria: Transwagon to Supply Freight Wagons to Arcelor

Transwagon, the Burgas-based manufacturer of railway wagons, said it has begin work on an order for 540 freight platforms for steel maker Arcelor Mittal.The contract is worth BGN 50m and should be fulfilled over a 2.5-year period. Each of the 28 ton cars will be able to travel at a speed of 120 km/h with a full cargo load of 62 tons. The company is currently manufacturing three types of freight wagons for the German railway operator, Railway Market-CEE Review reports.
