Slovakia/Poland: EU07 Freight Locomotive Gets Acceptance

An EU07 series locomotive operated by Polish national rail freight operator PKP Cargo has run across Slovakian rails for the first time, following the grating of approval from the Slovakian authorities.PKP Cargo already has permission to operate its ET22 locomotives in Slovakia. This is part of the development of better transport links between neighbouring countries in the EU. Locomotives are fitted with the appropriate equipment in order to make it possible to operate them across borders. PKP Cargo is planning further collaboration with Slovak rail freight operator ZSSK Cargo in order to reduce delays at border crossings, logisticsturku.fi reports.
