We are pleased to present you the "RZD-Partner" magazine which is a business edition under the Russian Railways support. It has been published since 1998. Starting from 2007, "The RZD-Partner" is issued twice a month. Though we focus on freight railway transportation we cover a wide range of issues on transport sector functioning in Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries.
Our magazine is going to be 11 this year and the time to sum up the achieved results has come.
Our mission is supplying transport market customers with necessary information. In our magazine we discuss key issues of transport market functioning, guide market participants through current market affairs and its tendencies. Transport service market is constantly growing and developing and trying to provide information needs for this sphere we keep pace with it. Now "RZD-Partner" project includes publishing a monthly business magazine, supporting web-source full of news and comments both in Russian and English, publishing "RZD-Partner Documents" supplement as well as quarterly reviews supplements for regions ("RZD-Partner North-West"; "RZD-Partner Ukraine", "RZD-Partner Baltiya"), and such supplements as “RZD-Partner Port”, “RZD-Partner Container”, and “RZD-Partner Machine Building”. Since 2005, our editorship launched a new project – “The RZD-Partner International”. This quarterly edition is published in the English language.
Annually “RZD-Partner” editorship and Russian Railways JSC hold International conference “OAO RZD on the transport services market: cooperation and partnership”. Traditionally, the heads of the RF Ministry of Transport, OAO RZD, Federal Agencies and Departments as well as top-managers of transport and logistic services, port terminals and stevedoring companies, companies-cargo owners, forwarding companies, operators of rolling-stock participate in the conference. Over 700 people from 20 countries took part in the third International conference, held in Moscow on November 2-3, 2005. About 400 of them were representatives of Russian largest transport and industrial companies.
In April 2006, editorship of “RZD-Partner” business magazine in cooperation with Russian Railways JSC held conference “Transport machine building. Structure of demand and opportunities of supplement”. The conference was supported by the RF Ministry of Transport. The main target of the event was to initiate the dialogue between the producers and customers of the machine-building sector, to attract the attention of representatives of the state regulating bodies, Ministries and Departments involved in the sector, to increase competitiveness and strengthen the image of Russian producers.
In the framework of the programme aimed at popularization of OAO RZD’s activities in the regions, the editorship of “The RZD-Partner” business magazine in cooperation with Russian Railways JSC started the series of regional forums, the first of them – Saint-Petersburg Transport and Logistics Forum was held in Strelna on June 20-21, 2006.
Moreover, "RZD-Partner" is an effective opportunity to advertise your company.
Many companies have already found new partners and broaden their service customers circle owing to the wide target group.
We are going to carry on. We have new projects which as we hope will be of even greater benefit to all the transport market participants.

In 2001 "RZD-Partner" became the "All Russia-2001" prize-winner at the national media competition within the nomination "For the best economic reforms coverage". In 2005, editor-in-chief of “The RZD-Partner” (now, the Editorial Director of the magazine) Valery Avilov was awarded with the first prize of IX Russian Journalist Competition “Economic Revival of Russia”. In 2006, editor-in-chief of “The RZD-Partner” Alexander Retyunin was awarded with the name Melnokov medal “For the civil position in coverage the problems of the RF transport sector problems” and won the first place in the International journalist competition “Road for life” – 2006. Besides, “The RZD-Partner” magazine won the second National public award of the Russian transport sector “Golden Chariot” in nomination “Popularization of the transport sector in mass-media”.
"RZD-Partner" editorship together with railway departments organize round-tables dedicated to various issues of rails interrelation as well as relations between consignor of goods and consignees and other participants of transportation process. Publications on such arrangements can help in public attention focusing on major problems of regions.
